Kevin Powell recently retired from Shell Oil Company where he served as a Senior Economist. Mr. Powell oversaw strategy and led many projects related to exploration and commercialization of oil and natural gas. Prior to Shell, Mr. Powell worked for Unocal, which now is part of Chevron Corporation.
Mr. Powell received B.S. in Geology from Binghamton University. Mr. Powell is a philanthropist, supporting healthcare initiatives.
Oksana Khariv is the liquefied natural gas Advisor at ExxonMobil’s Gas & Power Marketing organization. Prior to ExxonMobil, Ms. Khariv served as a manager at Quorum, a consulting group, where she oversaw projects for oil & gas companies in North America. Ms. Khariv started her career as an analyst at Fidelity Investments.
Combining her passions for development and philanthropy, Ms. Khariv has founded Omnis, a non-profit organization committed to restoring Ukraine by implementing health and education programs that promote social responsibility to achieve sustainable growth.
Ms. Khariv has studied and lived in Ukraine and the United States, speaks 4 languages, and has worked on projects globally. She serves on the board of an eastern European law firm, Kosylo & Partners LLC. Ms. Khariv holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in energy and energy finance from Southern Methodist University and a B.A. in international economics from Lviv University in Ukraine.
Blair Mathews has significant experience in the oil and natural gas industry. Mr. Mathews currently serves as the Business Development Director of EXCO Resources, Inc. and has been employed at EXCO since April 2007. Mr. Mathews’ primary role at EXCO involves company or asset valuation and analysis, divestiture of upstream and midstream assets, contract structuring and financial modeling. Mr. Mathews has also been responsible for collaborating on the valuation analysis of upstream and midstream opportunities across multiple onshore US basins. Prior to joining EXCO, Mr. Mathews served as an analyst in the business valuation and modeling transaction practice at Ernst and Young, LLP, in Dallas, Texas. At Ernst and Young, LLP, Mr. Mathews also worked directly with the Managing Partner of the Southwest Transaction Advisory Service practice to increase market share through business development efforts.
Mr. Mathews received his B.B.A, Finance, from Baylor University. Mr. Mathews is active in his church’s ministry outreach programs and believes in opportunities that serve those in need from an educational, healthcare and spiritual perspective.
Enrique Valencia joined Kinder Morgan Inc. in 2014 as a Director of Business Development. He has 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, serving in finance, commercial, long-term planning, business development, and M&A roles. Mr. Valencia spent the first 15 years of his career with BP with a focus upon the midstream sector and the development of energy infrastructure. His background includes commercial asset management and strategy, brownfield and greenfield growth projects, contract negotiations, and strategic asset acquisitions and divestments.
Mr. Valencia received an M.B.A from Rice University, Jones School of Business, and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of New Mexico. Mr. Valencia is based in Houston and supports several local charities. Mr. Valencia is honored to be a part of the Omnis Foundation mission.
